A Need to Confess

They say the first step to fighting an addiction is admitting you have a problem.  This is very hard for me, but here is my confession: I am a Book Addict.  There is something terribly wrong with me.  I collect and collect and collect BOOKS. Garage Sales, Thrift Stores, Used Book Stores, Amazon, there isn't a place that I am safe from.  I have even been known to shop on E-Bay.  Growing up I have gotten rid of a box of books here and there, but that doesn't help my addiction. I get rid of a box and then I replace it with three boxes.  I can't get rid of my books, they are my obsession.  Do I have time to read them? No.  The reason I keep them? If the world were to end, everybody else would have food storage, but they would be bored out of there mind. I on the other hand will be set until the second coming.  Do I want a cure of my addiction? DEFINITELY NOT!! I love books way too much!! I just need to calm down and not buy so many.  In my defense, I don't just buy books for myself.  My children are also set for life, and I also buy books to read to the classes that I substitute teach, see I'm not entirely selfish.  Those that judge me.....I'll have the last laugh when you have nothing better to do but read the back of your cereal boxes when the world ends.

My Books: (Keep in Mind this doesn't show you what I have on my Kindle or what I have on my Computer)

There are books stacked behind these ones

Yet to find a Bookshelf

Bookshelf #4

I have not taken pictures of my kids books, found in Bookshelf #5.  The ones you see are strictly mine, and you didn't think I had a problem.

I love it! And I love you. And if the world ends, I'm coming to your house.

LOVE IT! You sound like me :) I have three bookshelves full in my living room, and TWELVE boxes in my spare room full of more books. I can't quit. And I don't have space for all of them haha.

I figure I will never be bored ;)
